Let's look at the latest in the conflict. Late last night Israel's military told more than 1 million people in Northern Gaza to relocate south as it amassed tanks for an expected ground invitation. After Saturday's devastating attack by the militant group Hamas - Israel's retaliation has been devastating for many in the small enclave. According to Reuters, more than 2800 people have died in the last week or so. And as the fighting shows no sign of abating but is escalating instead, world leaders are responding in very different ways. A communique from G20 leaders meeting in Morocco in Marrakech has made no mention of the conflict presumably due to divisions. It says we note with deep concern the immense human suffering and impact of wars and conflicts around the world. The International Relations Department has confirmed that two South Africans have been killed in the conflict between militant group Hamas and Israel.
