Reaction to continued fighting in Sudan

Description:

More than 400 people have been confirmed dead in Sudan, since the fighting began nearly 2 weeks ago. The fighting between the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces began in the capital city Khartoum, but is now said to have reached other provinces. Thousands of civilians, including students and embassy staff of over 70 nations, have been evacuauted, with many others still stranded. Senior research fellow at Africa Asia Dialogue,Thembisa Fakude, has written an opinion piece looking at where Sudan finds itself. He speaks to Newzroom Afrika's Katlego Msomi on the conflict and his thinking.
